What temperatures can my plant take?
Every plant has its own ideal temperature range. To ensure your plant will thrive, consult the USDA Plant Hardiness Map shown below. This map created by the US Department of Agriculture gives you a range of temperatures based on the average annual minimum winter temperature and a number for the zone.
Please keep in mind that in colder climates plants in containers are more exposed to the elements as the roots are not in the ground which provides better thermal insulation.
